About AFAN Abia State
The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) Abia State Chapter is the official umbrella body for all farmers in Abia State. Established to promote and protect the interests of farmers, we work to ensure food security and sustainable agricultural development across all 17 Local Government Areas.
Our organization serves as a bridge between farmers and government agencies, facilitating access to agricultural inputs, credit facilities, and modern farming technologies. We represent the interests of farmers at both state and national levels, advocating for policies that support agricultural growth and development.
Our Mission
To empower farmers through capacity building, access to resources, and advocacy for farmer-friendly policies. We collaborate with government agencies, private sector partners, and international organizations to bring the best agricultural practices and opportunities to our members.
Our Vision
To create a prosperous agricultural sector in Abia State where farmers have access to modern technologies, adequate funding, and profitable markets for their produce. We envision a future where farming is not just a means of subsistence but a profitable business venture that contributes significantly to the state's economy.
Our Values
We are committed to integrity, transparency, and excellence in all our operations. We believe in the power of collaboration and continuously work to build strong partnerships that benefit our farming community. Our focus remains on sustainable agricultural practices that protect our environment while ensuring food security for present and future generations.
